This page is your resource as a Resident of the Village of Waldo for your building permit information. We are just getting this up and running so I ask for your patients and welcome your comments to make your project run smoother. Most forms will have two links provided. The PDF version can be printed and filled out manually and then mailed to or dropped off at our office located at 419 Erie Ave, Sheboygan, WI 53081. If you have Microsoft word, you can choose to select that form, fill it out, and then attached the completed form to an e-mail for approval.

Application must be made and approved by issuance of a building/zoning permit in accordance with all applicable State and Village regulations prior to the start of construction. The Village Ordinance allows up to 3 days for the building inspector to respond to any application, so work plans should be scheduled accordingly. Please contact the Clerk's Office or the Building Inspectiion website at http://sheboyganhomeinspector.com/inspection-services/village-of-waldo.html for information that is needed prior to a permit being issued. The following documents must be provided at the time of application.
- Permit Application form completed.
- Two sets of Building plans. (Plans must be to scale and show window and door size, and include a wall section.)
- Detailed site plan showing distances to all lot lines from existing and proposed structures including footing elevations.
- Energy Worksheet form completed. (Also known as heat loss calculations.)
- Erosion Control Plan with site plan showing control measures.
Inspections should be scheduled as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary delays. The inspector has two business days after notification to complete the inspection.
Construction Exempt from Building Permit Requirements
- Repairs necessary for building maintenance and upkeep which do not exceed a cost of $1,000.00 unless such repairs change the electrical system, plumbing system, and/or structural components.
- Residential accessory buildings and storage sheds not used to house motor vehicles and less than sixty-four (64) square feet in floor area.
- Attached and detached uncovered wood decks with floor surfaces less than 24 inches above adjacent grade level.
- Satellite dishes and antennas intended for private residential use.
- Buildings and structures not within the scope of the building code.
Note - The construction referred to in this section shall comply with all building, zoning, and applicable codes regardless of building permit requirements.
